I want to turn on my emails auto-reply during next 3 days as I'll be away to attend a professional course in the class room of a local academy. I am not sure if it is called away for training, away for course or away for a training course. The course is a part of continuous professional development.

I'd say 'Away on training'.

I am away for a 3-days training course, returning on 8th of August. Please contact Mr. XYZ for enquiries related to engineering projects during my absence.

Very good. Use that!

3-day training course.

When we use units of measure as adjectives, we use them in the singular. A 10-foot pole. A six-inch sub. A 100-meter race.
