Which one is correct?
I’m not sure about my plans for the weekend. I think I ____ (not go) anywhere.
a) won’t go
b) won’t be going

We ______ (spend) a full year researching this topic by the end of May.

They're both possible.
The most natural way to say it is "I don't think I'll go anywhere".
I suspect the answer they're looking for is "won't go". The other option, "I won't be going anywhere", would be natural in another context, if you want to emphasise you're going to stay at one place for some time.

Option a.

I disagree. "I won't be going anywhere" is more natural. And "some time" is defined here (the weekend).

If you're saying you're going to stay put at a place, then of course "I won't be going anywhere" is fine.

But if you're saying you don't plan to go out anywhere (a fine difference), I'd expect "I don't think I'll go anywhere" or "I don't think I'll go out".

Bob and Dave

Bob: Dave, what are your plans for the weekend?
Dave: I'm not sure about my plans for the weekend.
Bob: What do you mean by that?
Dave: Well, I don't really have any plans for the weekend.
Bob: Why didn't you say that in the first place?
Dave: I don't know.
🙂
