How to use "let alone"

Is this sentence correct? "We can't afford a bicycle, let alone a car."
If yes, why there is no conjunction like "and" betwenn two verb "afford" and "let" ?
Or, "let" doesn't work as a verb in this case?

Could we consider "let alone" to be the conjunction and then say "I can't even walk now let alone run" ?

"Let alone" is an idiom and it is usually used as a conjunction. Your sentence is correct. It has the meaning of "We cannot afford a bicycle, so don't even consider a car."

Your second sentence is also correct.
