[Grammar] How to describe weather?

I want to say that my city is badly affected by cool breeze nowadays. A heavy cold/ chill is blowing these days. How should I express it? Is there any specific phrase or expression in English or would " There are a lot of cool breezes in Karachi nowadays" be fine?
Someone suggested " Karachi is in cool breeze". Is this ok too?

No, the original sentence wasn't correct. I have never been to Karachi, or anywhere else in Pakistan. I have met quite a lot of Sindhi people in Rajasthan though. Yes, I would like to visit there.
