For instance, 'Blood ran from his nose' or 'Blood ran out of his nose'? More generally, how should I handle the 'Blood running (insert preposition) (insert body part)' structure?
 
In the case of an arterial bleed, you could say that blood fountained.
 
It depends on the strength of the flow. Blood oozed/seeped/trickled/spurted/gushed from the wound/body part.

And poured.
