With an 'e' as in 'bed'.
Incidentally, if you are referring collectively to all modern-day inhabitants of Britain (as opposed to those here, say, in the time of the Romans), the customary term is 'the British'! (An individual from Britain, however, can still be termed 'a Briton').

:up: But there's a growing movement towards /zi:brə/ . You'll hear both. - just as you'll hear either vowel in 'Kenya'. (I wonder if a sentence has ever been uttered that uses both but with distinct vowels... :-? ;-))
