'December 31 is the 365th day of the year.'

December 31 is read as 'December thirty-first' or 'December thirty-one?'

Thank you

'December 31st' or 'The 31st of December' for me.

Is 'December 31' [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] read as 'December thirty-first' or 'December thirty-one'?

Thank you.

Note my corrections above.

I always say dates as ordinal numbers, no matter how they are written.

So do I, although I vary the word order. Sometimes I say "December the thirty-first", sometimes I say "the thirty-first of December". I don't think I have any preference.
