Hello.

Is this sentence grammatically correct?

His family members encouraged him to study law, his father being a lawyer. But he chose music.

And also this:

His father being a lawyer, his family members encouraged him to study law but he chose music.

Perhaps:

Several members of his family encouraged him to study law and become a lawyer (like his father), but he wanted to be a musician.

Try that.

But I want to see if that way is correct as well.

My opinion.

The grammar is fine, but I don't find those sentences natural at all. Others may disagree.

Here is how I might use it.

His father being a lawyer, he knows a lot about the law.

If you absolutely have to force that phrase into that sentence, then Piscean did as good a job as possible.
