Hi there, can somebody understand what the guy is saying from 3:19 to 3:38? If so, could you please write it down here? I would really appreciate it. :)

I cant post link to video so please type in youtube "Scott Maslen & Natalie Lowe - Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two - 19.10.2010." and it should be the first video.

Have a nice day.

I hear,

I'm learning as I'm going along. Great thing is everything I'm learning from day one is... is kind of filtering through into all the other dances and there is a combination which gives you confidence and enables you to have that, I suppose (...) go out there.

What I hear I place of "(...)" doesn't make sense to me so I'm not giving it you as it's probably wrong. Something might be wrong in what I wrote too of course, I'm not a native speaker.

Well, I'm a native speaker and I tried a dozen times without being able to get it. Congratulations on what you managed, BC. I thought I heard 'faith-looking confidence to' but that makes no sense, so I assume it must be 'face looking confident to'. This would makes some sense, and it fits in with the gesture he makes.

Maybe that's right, but I think it's more like "fake" there. Anyway, after "confidence" or "confident", whatever it is, I hear "all I have wanna go out there" which doesn't make any sense at all. :-?

I think that the missing words are:

"fake-looking confidence that I have when I go out there."

That's what I'm hearing, anyway. I haven't posted before, but this is kind of fun, and in my work I have to be able to discern different dialects and accents for transcripts from a voice file. See if that's what you hear. :-D

Well, a very helpful first post, thank you. You have cracked it.

That must be right but I can't hear "that" there. I still hear "all" whenever I try. Maybe that's because I listened to it so many times.

PS: Oh, and welcome, Kristin! My bad manners showed themselves again... :-/

Thanks, James.
Neither BC nor I noticed that you too were new here.
Sorry.

So, welcome, James :hi:. May your stay with us be long and happy.

He does say that, but it would be very easy to miss it. Listen out for a tiny indistinct bit - the consonants are almost merged, but there's a tiny schwa sound - that's it.

And welcome, Kristin ;-)
