"He sat glued to his chair when playing video games"

Is here ''glued to his chair'' an adjective phrase describing pronoun ''he''?

Glued here is the Participle II acting as a part of the compound verbal predicate (
sat glued)
. It gives an additional meaning to the action.

I don't think we have a compound verbal predicate here. I think that the third form (past participle) of the verb 'glue' is being used adjectivally.
