Have you heard or are you familiar with the word "yeet"? I made Apple Siri, Google and Bing Translator listen to the sentence and they all failed to recognize it:

Siri: He just grabbed my phone and injected into the River.

Google: He just grabbed my phone and deleted it into the River.

Bing Translator: He just grabbed my phone and heated it into the River.

=====================

yeet (slang)

to throw something with a lot of force:

He just grabbed my phone and yeeted it into the river.

I've never encountered it.

Neither have I.

Forget it.

It's new to me too.

I've seen it on Twitter. I don't recommend using it.

I've been hearing it on social media the last year or so. It's current slang meaning to throw or toss, similar to 'chuck'. It can also be used as a meaningless interjection to show show excitement, similar to something like 'yowza' or 'oh yeah'.

I kind of suspect it'll fade in popularity after a while. Slang fads tend to fade out after a while, some faster than others. It's uncommon for them to become long-term permanent additions.

Here's a page that takes the explanation a bit too formally. I suspect the conjugation information was written tongue-in-cheek - I've only seen the past tense as a regular verb 'yeeted', not the irregular forms offered here.
