Which way is most often used by native speaker: 1. He is a good dancer. 2. He dances well.

Which [STRIKE]way[/STRIKE] is [strike]most[/strike] more often used by native speakers?

1. He is a good dancer.
2. He dances well.

They are both used but I would say sentence 1 is marginally more common.

There are differences of use, but it's more likely that a speaker will be in a position to use sentence 1.

This is more conversational: He's a good dancer.
