I read this sentence on an article. Is this correct? What tense is "having found" and can you give examples. Thank you.

I am happy for having found that really close friend, whom i can trust.

NOT A TEACHER

(1) One of my favorite books says this:

The perfect participle, active voice, is made by the auxiliary having plus the

past participle -- having seen.

Having studied hard, I shall have no fear of tomorrow's test.

Mind you, the sentence doesn't work for me. I would say something like this:

I am happy to have found that really close friend who/whom I can trust.

The sentence doesn't work for me either. I would use either:

I am happy to have found that really close friend, who(m) I can trust.
or
Having found that really close friend who(m) I can trust, I am happy.

I would happily use the first, but I can't imagine using the second.;-)
