Hi.

My cousin was about to clean the bookshelf and he sat on the stairs. I saw a book which I wanted to have a look but I couldn't touch it. So I asked my cousin to help me. I said to him "Will you please hand down that book from the shelf?"

Is it natural to say that?

Could you please get me the book from the shelf?

No.

Please hand that book down for me.

Or "Please hand that book to me".
