Everybody is friend of someone's.
Is there any grammatical mistake in this sentence?
Thank you.

Better:

Everybody is someone's friend.

Consider:

of someone's

There's a redundancy: duplicated possession.

M.

The "better" was not in comparission with the comment that barrived before mine.

Respectfully,

M.

He is a friend of mine - he is one of my friends.
He is a friend of Peter's - he is one of Peter's friends.
he is a friend of somebody's - (he is one of somebody's friends.)

They are all acceptable, though the bracketed version is uncommon.
