Is it correct/natural to say that a search engine (such as Google) returns results? Do all of the italicized verbs work in the following sentence?

Google, when queried, gives/returns/provides/suggests no results.

Are there any other verbs that could be used in this context?

I like "gives" and "returns," but not "provides" or "suggests." "Yields" is also possible.

I think I use "returns" when speaking formally, and "shows" (not on your list) when speaking informally.

In very informal contexts, "spits out" is sometimes used.
