Hello, teachers. I'm trying to say that in college, learning subjects that will benefit your future career such as those related to science and technology is a good investment because these subjects will help you get a high-paying job.

I wrote these two versions. Are they idiomatic? Thanks!

1. It is a good investment for students to study disciplines that will benefit their career.
2. Studying science or technology-related subjects seems like a good way to invest in higher education.[FONT=&quot]

See above. Studying those subjects isn't an investment in higher education. It's an investment in yourself and your future.
