Hi there. Would you please proofread the following text? Any help would be appreciated.
**********************************************************************
The plan to slowly introduce the village to Lanhua’s predictive dreams went well. There were some minor problems with people wanting her to dream about them, but that died down once they realised she couldn’t control the dreams in any way.
Gan had a small telescope but quickly realised it was not powerful enough to gain much of an advantage time-wise, so he started designing a new one, a simple but powerful one that would give a little more warning of the approach of the asteroids. Building it would be time-consuming but not so hard; the hard part was doing the mathematical calculations to design the lenses without a computer, which made him think of his father and Rui. Gan worked on the lens calculations for over a week and was still not sure if they were good enough but decided to go ahead with the design anyway.
One good thing did happen. Gan’ remembered his friend Luojie also had a telescope, the lenses of could be melted down, and a set of larger lenses could be ground, which would save him a lot of time as he wouldn’t need to make the glass itself.
