Hi, I'm working on an essay and was wondering if the following sentence is correct:

"All in all, it is time to look for new solutions, instead of getting stuck in outdated discussions about the pros and cons of ..."

Do you "get stuck in outdated discussions"? Or in "an outdated discussion"?

Also, I'm not sure whether it should be "discussions on" or "discussions about"?

Thanks a lot!

When are you going to submit your essay to your teacher/tutor for marking?

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm not really attending any official English classes right now. Meaning it's not really about passing or failing, it's more of an exercise.

'...getting stuck in outdated discussions about...'

Thanks a lot!

Rengl, there is no need to write a new post just to say "Thank you". It makes us think there is new information or a follow-up question and we spend time opening the thread. Simply click on the "Thank" button at the bottom left-hand corner of any post you find helpful. It saves everybody's time.
