Hi & Happy New Year!

Can someone please tell me which of the following is/are correct?

  1. He was at one of his friend’s house.
  2. He was at one of his friend's houses.
  3. He was at one of his friends’ house.
  4. He was at one of his friends' houses.

I can't decide which is correct.

Thank you!

They are all unnatural. Why not say "He was at the house of a friend"?

Would "He was at a friend's house" be good?

Yes, it would.
