A Chinese state media reporter at a U.S. State Department news conference asked Ms. Nulan about U.S. stand on the issue of an isle disputed between Japan and China. Unsatisfied at the answer which stated the U.S. takes no position on the dispute but the isle is indeed covered by a U.S.-Japanese defense treaty, the reporter said, " For we, it (what Nulan said) sounds like contradictory."

My question is: is 'for we' rather than 'for us' colloquially acceptable? Thank you.

No.

Neither is "sounds like contradictory."
