Hi.

My cousin Mary is going to have her final exam. Every day she's just focusing on going over what she has learned. I wrote a sentence to describe what she's doing. "Mary will have a test, so she fixs her mind on reviewing". Is the sentence natural?

Hi.

My cousin Mary is going to have her final exam soon. Every day, she's just focusing on going over what she has learned. I wrote a sentence to describe what she's doing. "Mary [STRIKE]will have[/STRIKE] has [STRIKE]a test[/STRIKE] her final exam soon, so she's [STRIKE]fixs her mind[/STRIKE] concentrating on [STRIKE]reviewing[/STRIKE] revising/her revision". Is the sentence natural?

See above.

Our AmE speakers will tell you that they don't use "revise" in this way.

Is "fix one's mind on reviewing" wrong in both AmE and BrE?

I see, Piscean and emsr2d2. If the original version is okay in AmE, I'll keep it. If it's not okay in AE either, I'll delete it.

If you decide on fixes, don't forget the e.

'Concentrate' on is far more natural than 'fix one's mind on' in BrE.
That would be my choice, too.

'Revising' or 'revision' are the natural choices in BrE.
"Studying" is the usual word in American English.
