Hi. Could someone tell me which one is correct- fit the situation or suit the situation ? Much appreciate it :-D

They adapt their spoken language to suit the situation, using standard English.
Your first suggested sentence doesn't fit the situation you described at all.

Either one is correct.
 
They are certainly very close in meaning and in those examples, I agree they are interchangeable.
I never like to say "no difference... whatsoever" because someone can usually come up with an example of when there are differences.
