[Grammar] fill a long-felt need

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

1. When living in the traditional way, the Comanche Indians placed great importance on buffalo hunting.
2. The new library with its many books and its quiet reading rooms fills a long-felt need.
 
1. Traditionally, the Comanche Indians placed great importance on buffalo hunting.

2. The new library, with its many books and its quiet reading rooms, fills a long-standing need (or fills a long-time). Long felt need is incorrect.

Try and pay closer attention to your punctuation.
