Hello, friends!

Again, a question from a Poe story. Has the verb "feast" been used here as a synonym for "feed"? Any ideas?

The table was superbly set out. It was loaded with plate, and more than loaded with delicacies. The profusion was absolutely barbaric. There were meats enough to have feasted the Anakim.

P.S: According to Wikipedia, the Anakim are a race of giants in the Hebrew mythology.

Then, yes, 'to feast' means 'to feed abundantly'.
