I have a question about this exercise of transformation sentences

Julie offered a lift to Mary but she said she preferred to walk there

RATHER

a) Julie offered a lift to Mary but she said she'd rather walk there

or

b) Julie offered a lift to Mary but she said she'd rather have walked there

Which is the right one and why?

It's not homework. I need it to explain it and I am not mothertongue speaker. It's a doubt I have and I need help.
 
"rather walk" is correct.

See my corrections above. You need to end every sentence with a single appropriate punctuation mark.
