Yes, but I thought this verbing of nouns occurred in the US first, and spread elsewhere. I'm not aware of any other examples from Australia, though I might research it.I've never encountered "farewell" as a verb, and that Perth Zoo statement sounds odd to me. It's not the first time, however, that I have encountered a noun that has been unusually "verbed".
