Howdy,

Could you kindly answer these questions?
1.- Does/Do your family like watching films? (which one is right and if both are right what is the suitable short answer for each one?)
- Yes,..............(what's the short answer here).
I know that family can be regarded as singular and plural but I have difficulty matching an appropriate auxiliary verb, a subject and object pronoun.

Thanks a bunch

1. Do your family like watching films? Yes, they do. / Yes, we do.
2. Does your family like watcjing films? (Yes, it does.) / Yes, they do. /Yes, we do.

Despite the lack of consistency, I think that we'd be more likely to use 'they' rather than 'it' in #2.

Thanks a lot dear 5jj.
