I found this sentence in an article, but it is not clear what the end of it should mean.
What is exactly the meaning of "fall 7,000"?
"Company inventories are being restocked, and the rebound in the construction industry
helped the unemployment total to fall 7,000 in May to 3,926 million."
 
The number of unemployed people decreased by 7,000 from 3.933 m to 3.926 m (using the style of The Economist).
