I wonder why not "Everything has been wrong since I last saw you". I'm not familiar with the pattern simple present + since + simple past.
 
The rules of English grammar and the lyrics of popular music rarely walk hand in hand.
 
Yes, I agree. I even think "since me and my baby parted" is also wrong, but I chose to ignore it. The fact is, I've seen this unfamiliar pattern somewhere else, and I thought it could be right. With a different meaning or not....

That's an error you'll hear from plenty of native speakers.

Me and my dad went shopping yesterday. ❌ but commonly heard.
My dad and I went shopping yesterday. ✅
