I often _______________ what I would do if I won a lot of money.
Which verb fits better: envisage or ponder? Why?

They could both work.

I would say "ponder," cause it seems to be about thinking. I would say "envision" if I already had a clear idea. "Envisage" is an odd word to me.

Perhaps this is a BrE/AmE thing. 'Envisage' is far more natural to me than 'envision. Although I agree with bhai that 'envisage' is possible, I would find 'try to envisage' more natural.
