Try writing some sentences using "during" and "while" and we will comment on them.

Ok, thanks,
I go to Asia during the summer holidays.
She comes in while i have my lunch.

Yes, those are possible. It's difficult to think of a context for the second one though.

Yes, as at this moment i don't have any ideas on mind to make a sentence, but is "when" the same "while" when we use in a sentence. thanks

is "when" the same "while" when we use in a sentence.

NOT A TEACHER

(1) I am also a learner who gets confused by these two words.

(2) I recently found an explanation from the British Council (online). It greatly helped

me, so I am delighted to share it:

When is used for shorter actions; while is used for longer actions.

(a) Please study these examples:

I was riding my bike when I fell down.
I fell down while I was riding my bike.

I was reading a book when the telephone rang.
The telephone rang while I was reading a book.

(3) All of those examples are credited to the British Council. They are NOT mine, so

they must be correct.

(4) If you have more questions, just ask here. The great teachers will be happy to

answer you.

Thank you so much of your help.
