Does " getting peed on during a take" mean "getting pissed during a conversation"?

And does "giving away movie endings" mean "talking about movie closings"?

Context:

As we tossed out questions about long-lost pets, giving away movie endings and getting peed on during a take, we found them more than happy to play ball.

No. Giving away the ending of a movie means telling people how the plot turns out in the end, thus damaging their ability to enjoy the movie.

Getting pissed can mean getting angry or getting drunk. I would say the former is more common in AmE and the latter in BrE.

Your passage appears to be about and among movie people. A take is movie jargon for an attempt to shoot a scene. Getting peed on during a take might indicate that the movie in question was some sort of porn, or more likely it might mean being seriously disrespected during the take. I'm not sure.

Building on what Probus has already suggested, I would read it as being heavily criticised for your performance during a "take".

They seem to be talking about dogs or other animals who are not able to control their bladders. I suggest it is not some gross porn or a metaphor but simply something like filming a scene with an animal that urinates on the actor, as anyone who has ever spent time holding animals knows will sometimes happen.

As always, if you had given context, we would not be guessing!!

In BrE, "getting peed on from a great height" during a take would probably mean the director/producer threatening to fire (dismiss) everyone involved unless they substantially improved their performance.

Interesting. In the US, you are "shat upon" from great height, not peed on.

That's the only version I know. I haven't joined in this thread because I could only make a guess at the meaning of 'peed on'.

Same-same - just comes at you from a different direction!
