I'm not familiar with the names of the parts for airline seats. It seems to mean what I would call the seat back. As you know, industries have their own jargon.

This isn't well written. The "pitch" is the spacing between seats. In other words, from the front of one seat to the front of the one in the row behind it is 60 inches.

The seats have a 60 inch pitch and they recline 160 degrees. You are correct that the seat pitch does not recline.

If we want to get really technical, the seat does not recline 160 degrees. It reclines into a position such that the seat is 160 degrees, measuring from the floor of the airplane. It would be 90 degrees when in the "full upright" position, so it actually reclines 70 degrees, to reach a position that is 160 reclined.

Having been there, anything less than 180 is not worth bragging about. Nobody likes sleeping on an incline.
