differences between DISTINGUISHED, DISTINGUISHABLE, DISTINCT, DISTINCTIVE

could anybody plz tell me the differences between DISTINGUISHING, DISTINGUISHABLE, DISTINCT, DISTINCTIVE and DISTINGUISHED?
In this question, I don't know how to distinguish them:


1. His speech was careful and ……..but his word seemed to make no sense.
A distinguished B distinct C distinctive D distinguishable

 
Could you post the definition of each word that you think could work in this sentence.
 
Can we just verify that you meant to write '...but his words seemed to make no sense'?
