Think of the prefixes and hopefully you know of other common words using the same prefixes that give you the idea of the meaning, simply apply to the root portion.
For example:
for inter- you might be familiar with "international", and the meaning is something like a relationship between two or more countries
for intra- you might be familiar with "intravenous" , which is entering within the vein
