My dad underwent a surgery the other days and is recovering quite well. Last year he underwent the same surgery but he could hardly walk. Therefore, we let him sit on a chair with wheels and pushed him to his bedroom and the bathroom. He's going to be operated on his eyes come April. I hope everything will be fine.

"The other day" means "a few days ago". There is no "the other days".

It's not a wheelchair. I don’t know what it’s called. It’s something as this:

Note my changes above. It's not clear whether he couldn't walk after the surgery last year or the surgery he had a few days ago. Which is it?

As I understand it, he had the same surgery twice. Hopefully, he won't need that procedure again.

In that case, I'd remove "Therefore, ..." and replace it with "That time, ...".
