Hi.

Is it correct to say "develop misunderstanding"? Does it sound OK in the sentence below?
"Lying provides a medium which is capable of developing misunderstanding."

I want to say that lying creates an atmosphere in which misunderstanding is so likely to happen.

Surely that is obvious. Lying is meant to mislead.
