dentist appointment / dentist's appointment or dental appointment?

Which one do you think is correct?

I always used to say dental, then I figured it should be dentist's, but since dentist is easier to pronounce, people use "dentist appointment" more often. I'm not sure!
 
I say 'dental appointment', Maria.
 
I say "dentist's appointment" BUT, as frequently happens when speaking, "sts" isn't clearly enunciated. I'm sure it sounds as if I'm saying "dentist appointment".
