Could you check this letter to my previous employer? Thank you.

Dear mr Brown,

I used to work for you as a trainee designer in 2014. This traineeship was part of the Leonardo da Vinci programme.
I would like to ask you for the permission to mention you in my CV as a referee, b
ecause my work for your company provided me with the skills that may be significant in my possible future occupation. Please let me know if this is possible.

I enclosed your reference letter from April 2014.

Best regards

I would change just one thing, thus:

I worked for you as a trainee designer in 2014.

What is a trainee designer?
:-?

Trainee designer means apprentice. It was something like a work experience programme.

Thank you. (I was already familiar with trainee and apprentice.)

You need to capitalise "Mr".
