[Grammar] Conditional Tense --What is it? Are these example correct?

Examples:
1. When probability gives us a dim chance of surviving, I would hope that we surive.

2.All i'm saying is, if I die, I would prefer a colorful death.


I don't fully understand the conditional tense. What changes?
 
Actually, it’s the conditional mood used when talking about something that hasn’t happened, or that can happen only if some condition is fulfilled

There are three types of Conditional Sentences + Zero Type
