Have I made any mistakes?

Clive was a highly popular comedy actor who made millions of people laugh, but off-camera, his life was a constant struggle with depression and alcoholism.
 
The phrase comic actor might be s better choice.

Delete one of the commas.
 
I believe the comma after "camera" should be omitted.
