When I was installing a program, I encountered this: "Select the additional tasks you would like to Setup to perform while installing PDF-XChange Editor, then click next."

(Tasks)

- Create a Start Menu Folder
- Create desktop icons
- Show PDF files in browser

For the above context, are "to perform a task" and "to carry out a task" the same phrase in meaning?

Select the additional tasks you would like to Setup to perform while installing PDF-XChange Editor, then click next.
The green part should be would like Setup to perform.
