Can you say:

Why haven't you been replying in/to the group chat?

Are both okay?

No, I don't think so. (Neither.)

Perhaps:

Why haven't you been posting there?

or

Why haven't you been participating?

or

Why haven't you been in the chat room?

:)

What about when talking about other people:

Why haven't they been replying in/to the group chat?

They both work for me.

I don't participate in group chats, but I do text. I have heard:

Why didn't you respond to my text?

or

Why didn't you text me back?

:)

I created a group chat for my friends and I. And some of them are not replying to any of the the other members.

How come you and MikeNewYork have a difference of opinion to my question?

I can't explain everything. (It does bother me when we disagree, because Mike is always right. ;-))

:)

Yes, but you guys are both native English speakers, no?

Yes, but that doesn't mean we agree on everything all the time. (No two people always agree on everything.)

:)

I find both OK.

Why haven't you been replying in the group chat [that we've been having]?
Why haven't you been replying to the group chat [messages]?

We were not disagreeing. Those are just different ways of saying the same thing. The is the beauty and also the difficulty of English.
