What's the meaning of this sentence?
"My mom and dad came and got me just before lunch and boy was I glad to see them."

On second thought or read, "got me" could be replaced with "picked me up".

It looks completely natural to me. It means they picked me up from wherever I was.
 
Yes. I misunderstood the "got me" as in "presented me with" something.
 
How about some punctuation?

It was only missing a comma.
 
I'd also end it with an exclamation point.
 
That would be okay.
