Hello,
I heard this sentence in a well popular game.
Do you think the sentence is okay?
Why isn't it:
Blue team increases its lead. :?:

A team consists of several players, but since they use increases, they make singular of it...

P.S. I think they also write "The blue team", but only say "Blue team", but I'm not fully sure now.

Cheers!

Yes, it's OK. They're only talking about one team.
It possibly should be "The blue team" or "Blue Team". But this is not uncommon.

Thank you.

I'm sorry but what is okay? :)
The title or my suggested version, or even both?

Cheers!

For your title to be OK, it would have to be "(The) Blue team increase..."

Thanks.

So you believe increase (no s) would be the right option?
"The blue team" is still 3rd person singular. :-|

Cheers!

It is not 3rd person singular if you are seeing it as a group of individuals. "They increase their lead".
