What's the deference between:

He is bent over the desk ./ He bends over the desk.

And:

The teacher gets him bent over the desk. / The teacher gets him to bend over the desk.

What's the difference between:

He is bent over the desk = This describes the position he is already in when the sentence starts.

He bends over the desk = This tells you the physical act which he performs during the sentence.
