Have I made any mistakes?
Because of his attractive looks and openness, Clive had a reputation of being a womaniser, but his private life was less exciting than people could imagine. He lived alone in a one-room flat, with one chair at his kitchen table and another at his desk. His single bed had never been shared with anyone; his meals at home never eaten in company. Even though he noticed that many women looked at him with interests and gave him unmistakable signs of being attracted to him, Clive ignored them, treating them as if they didn't exist. He was so deeply engaged in his scientific projects that spending time with a woman would be a waste of time. Some of his female colleagues felt snubbed and called him an oddball, but Clive didn't care what others said about him. He would be able to take the worst insults if they only left him in peace in his laboratory.
