What's the word or expression for bearing a hard situation day after day, when someone asks you:

Q: How are you doing without a job?
A: well. I ... .

But A sounds like hopeful and not very much upset.

thank you all!

Well, I'm bearing up.
I'm surviving.
Things could be worse,

?

"I'm coping."
"I'm getting by."
"... something will turn up"

Thank you both. I chose "I'm getting by" and "Things could be worse". That will do.
