I'd like to know if "bound" is the past participle of the verb "bound" or the past participle of the verb "bind".
 
It's the third (past participle) form of 'bind'.
 
The third form of bound is bounded.
 
And I am not sure how the verb bound would make anything meaningful.
 
I have trouble understanding that sentence, so I understand if you do.
